The Writers Room incorporated as a non-profit business in 1979. All contributions made to The Writers Room are tax-deductible.
The Writers Room subsidizes all members by approximately 30%. In other words, instead of paying $1,000 every six months for membership, a full-time member pays only $750. To afford this, The Writers Room raises over $100,000 annually from foundations, individuals and city, state and federal agencies.
