The Writers Room incorporated as a non-profit business in 1979. All contributions made to The Writers Room are tax-deductible.
The Writers Room subsidizes all members by 25%. In other words, instead of paying $800 every six months for membership, a full-time member pays only $600. To afford this, The Writers Room must raise over $100,000 annually from foundations, individuals and city, state and federal agencies.
